MICG Annual Member Meeting

The MICG Annual Meeting is open to the public and we encourage anyone who is interested in the garden and our activities to attend! See the Agenda below. Please join us!

Note: anyone in the community can serve on the board. If you have an interest and are able to participate in board activities, you are qualified for nomination! If you would like information about the board, please contact any of the current board members:

Agenda 2024 MICG Annual Meeting

1. Thanks to current board members, plot-holders, volunteers and Gip and Lauren for allowing us to continue to use their land

2. Vote: Approval of minutes 2023 annual meeting (attached)

3. 2024 MICG  Annual Report (attached)

4. 2024 MICG Gardener’s Report (attached)

5.  Giiwekii Report (attached)

6.            2024 MICG Treasurer Report and proposed budget for 2025 (attached)

7.           Vote: Amendments to by-laws (attached)

8.           Vote: Approval of new officers and board members:

a.           Sarah Holst and Kem Butler co-chairs

b.           Gip Matthews Board member

9.           Vote:  Keep plot fees for next year same as this year (large plot $100, med plot $50, small plot $30)

10.         Remaining tasks for 2023

a.           Water and harvest final crops for food shelf

b.           Garden close tasks (drain water tanks, take in hoses, tarps up for shed extension, store mower, weed whacker and tiller, winterize pond plumbing and greenhouse windows

11.          General discussion of the future direction of the garden

a.           Does the community still want/need a community garden

b.           What went right and wrong this year

c.           What crops to grow next year for the food shelf, other food shelf suggestions

d.           Are there other ways the space can be better used to serve the community while still fulfilling our core mission
