Let’s Pickle!

Beth Dooley, award winning food writer, opened her MI home kitchen and provided many beautiful fresh produce options for the September 2023 easy pickling demonstration.

The Madeline Island Community Garden was delighted to co-host this special cooking demo with Beth. We learned the quick pickling method and we each created a couple of jars of pickles unique to our own taste in veggies and spices. The technique is easy, fast and yields beautiful delicious results without the fuss and muss of traditional canning methods. Thanks Beth!
